Description

This is a video from Al-Hidayah 2006 held in a residential centre in England. Over 500 youths attended this four day spiritual retreat learning Sahih Bukhari from the Shaykh. Before the lectures of Shaykh al-Islam Muhammad Tahir al-Qadri, Shaykh Hammami (Syria) and Sidi Muadh al-Nass (the son of Shaykh Samir al-Nass (Syria)) would recite traditional Nashids in praise of the Holy Prophet (S).
Here is translation of the diologue between Shaykh al-Islam and Shaykh Hammami:
Shaykh al-islam: (exclaiming) You have presented for us this nashid/naat by transferring from the Syrian style to the Pakistani style!
Shaykh Hammami: Yes, Yes! [This is] Correct! Mashallah!
Shaykh al-Islam: This is the Pakistani style, mashallah. Now, your Syrian AND Pakistani! (quoting the Ayah of the Quran from Surah Rahman) The two rivers meet and join together
Shaykh Hammami laughs whilst finishing off reciting the verse
Shaykh al-Islam: This is excellent!
[end of diologue]
You can see from this video the love Shaykh Hammami has for Shaykh al-Islam. Next to Shaykh al-Islam, on his right wearing a white coat, is Shaykh Asad al-Saeed al-Sagarji(syria) who is currently the head Imam of Syria central mosque, Jamia al-Ummawiyy. He taught, in the earlier part of his life, in the Prophet's Mosque, Madinah. His books are taught in Jamia al-Azhar, Egypt. Shaykh Asad and Shaykh al-Islam are strong and close friends. Who correspond with each other on regular basis. __________________________________________
