Junaid Jamshaid Saeed Anwar visits Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri in quest of Knowledge

Both Junaid Jamshaid and Saeed Anwar had a closed-door meeting with Shaykh-ul-Islam. They were given introduction to the great Hadith work "Al Minhaj Us Sawi" of Hujjat-ul-Muhadithin Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Both guests were highly impressed by Shaykh-ul-Islam and Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International and expressed their desire to read and teach from "Al Minhaj us Sawi". The Qur'anic translation Irfan-ul-Quran and Al Minhaj-ul-Sawi were given to both guests as special gifts by Shaykh-ul-Islam.

The event commenced with the Qur'anic recitation by Qari Jamil and Junaid Jamshaid had the honour to read Naat in the praise of the blessed Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them). Shaykh-ul-Islam, gave a short but highly motivational briefing on the status, importance and blessings of Naat in the eyes of the blessed Prophet (pbuh) and said that at the time of the Prophet (pbuh) there were 34 Sahaba who used to read Naat in honour of the Prophet (pbuh). Shaykh-ul-Islam gave references from his Urdu book "Milad-un-Nabi (sws)" and to one of the books of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi, who himself mentioned the status of Naat in his book. In his book, Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi referred to the incident of Imam Busiri when he read the Qasida Burda in front of the Prophet (pbuh) in his dream. Junaid Jamshaid was highly impressed by the educational briefing and said he will refer to the works of Shaykh ul Islam. Both guests desired to visit His Eminence Sayyidi Shaykh-ul-Islam at the Al Hidayah 2006 educational and spiritual retreat in Oxfordshire later this month.
